This week's Passports collection takes us on a journey to New Orleans for the most colorful of February festivities. Mardi Gras Day is February 25th so we are celebrating all week long leading up to “Fat Tuesday,” the last day of the Carnival season which always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.
Mardi Gras is a culmination of music, parades, picnics, floats and community. Revelers know to dress in purple, green, and gold, and adorn themselves with long beads caught from the floats of previous parades.
Not headed to the Big Easy? Take the journey through flowers and dress your table with the festive Mardi Gras colors of justice (purple), faith (green) and power (gold) with cheerful mimosa, lavender roses, royal purple lisianthus, bright green Belles of Ireland, purple and white carnations, alstroemeria, and Italian ruscus.
Your order includes Repeat Roses signature zero-waste service, including: a reusable tote, a compost bag for your flowers, compostable eco-bouquet wrap (for hand-tied bouquets) or glass vase for arrangements which we encourage you to compost/recycle on your own or invite you to return to our shop and we will compost/recycle for you. Customers who return their packaging, flowers, vase, wrap, etc. will receive VIP pricing and promotions on their next order and specials throughout the year. Protecting the planet always pays off.
