FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Oh-what-a-night overlooking the Manhattan skyline with our hosts: the FIT Alumni Council, Lara Eurdolian, and Repeat Roses Founder Jennifer Grove. We connected and conversed, sipped on signature Versace Mint Fizz cocktails and indulged in rooftop memory-making together in true sustainable style.
Against a backdrop of silver skies and grey skyscrapers, a bounty of blooms provided a burst of joyous color. The inspiration? Flashback to the 1992 “Signatures” Gianni Versace exhibition at the Museum at FIT which was a major school memory for alumna Grove, and a true red carpet moment for the school and for fashion industry history. The colors, silhouettes and textures from the exhibition provided the rich palette inspiration and memory-sharing experience for the FIT Alumni X Repeat Roses Blossom Bar™.
Following the exclusive rooftop event, these fashion-forward blooms were delivered to VillageCare, a community healthcare facility which provides counseling for people who are at risk or living with HIV/AIDS.
“Supporting social impact and sustainability is always in style” according to Grove, while discussing the future of sustainable fashion and the importance of giving back to People and to the Planet.
And from one puppy to another, Charlie at the Blossom Bar™ to Honey, a pet of a regular client at VillageCare -- the flowers were enjoyed by all!
