DAVID H. KOCH THEATER
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
The New York City Ballet hosted their annual Fall Gala with an evening of awe-inspiring choreography and beautifully-crafted fashion pieces. This year, Principal Dancer Lauren Lovette choreographed a ballet paired with lavish costumes by designer Zac Posen. BalletMet Artistic Director Edwaard Liang also choreographed a piece with eye-catching folkloric costumes by Anna Sui. To top it off, the program concluded with George Balanchine’s Symphony in C. What a stunning combination of textures, colors, and movement!
Following this special culmination of fashion and dance, we repurposed the spectacular florals at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, a charity partner of NYCB. NYU Langone has one of the largest orthopedic surgery programs in the country. Their team cares for tens of thousands of people each year, from infants to seniors, performing procedures for the simplest to the most complex conditions involving joints, muscles, and bones.
Upon delivery, the flowers were dispersed throughout the hospital, adding spurts of bright colors in patient rooms and waiting areas. Thank you to New York City Ballet for bringing a spot of joy to the guests, caregivers, and staff at NYU Langone.
